Art of Scrap II Mixed Martial Arts Fight Night at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum

Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 2, 2021) – A mix of local, national, professional, and amateur mixed martial arts fighters will all be featured in Art of Scrap II on Saturday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m., a 12-bout Fight Night event at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

Art of Scrap is a Fort Wayne-based mixed martial arts promotion. The name “Art of Scrap” embodies the sense of paradox between the sophistication of art, and the grit of combat. In essence, “Art of Scrap” describes poetic violence.

Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9 at the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office, at www.ticketmaster.com/acwmc or the Ticketmaster mobile app. For more details, visit www.memorialcoliseum.com.

Art of Scrap will host fighters from across the country: Hawaii, Maine, Colorado, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Florida, and up-and-coming local talent from Lee Brothers MMA. Local fighters on the card include Nick Kraus (main event pro middleweight), Jacob Kindig (debut pro lightweight), Jordan Downey (pro featherweight), Chandler Chapman (amateur middleweight), and Dominic Heath (amateur flyweight).

“In 2020, MMA on the national scene soared. But like everything else during the pandemic, MMA at the regional level was put on pause,” said Mike Lee of Fort Wayne-based Lee Brothers MMA.

“During this time, my wife and I started a discussion about going into fight promotion, solely to create opportunities for our fighters to have a place to compete again. We did our first show in February, which was the first MMA promotion in the state of Indiana in over a year, since before the pandemic. Now that the state is opening back up, we have allowed ourselves to imagine what Art of Scrap can become. This brought us to our main event. Nick Kraus vs Collin Huckbody features two of the best pro middleweights in the country.”

“Art of Scrap has given us a unique opportunity to use our combined years of experience in video production, music, and coaching, to build something that really elevates Mixed Martial Arts in our region.” said promoter Michelle Lee.

“We can’t wait to share the experience with you all on July 31.”
