The National Weather Service has extended the Flood Warning for the Maumee and St. Marys Rivers in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in IndianaOhio

Salamonie River below Warren affecting Wabash, Huntington, Blackford, Wells and Jay Counties.

Salamonie River at Portland affecting Jay County.

Wabash River near Bluffton affecting Wells County.

Auglaize River near Fort Jennings affecting Allen, Paulding and Putnam Counties.

Maumee River near Defiance affecting Henry and Defiance Counties.

 

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in IndianaOhio

Eel River at North Manchester affecting Miami, Wabash, Whitley, Kosciusko and Cass Counties.

Maumee River at Fort Wayne affecting Allen and Paulding Counties.

Saint Marys River near Decatur affecting Allen, Van Wert and Adams Counties.

Wabash River near Linn Grove affecting Adams and Wells Counties.

Maumee River at Napoleon affecting Henry County.

.Recent rainfall has led to rises on area rivers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or local media for further statements and updated forecasts.

…The Flood Warning is now in effect until early Friday morning…

The Flood Warning continues for the Saint Marys River near Decatur.

* Until late Thursday night.
* At 5:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the last 24 hours was 18.2 feet.
* Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
morning.
* Impact…At 18.8 feet, Flood water begins to cross Ohio Highway 49 north of Willshire, Ohio.

…The Flood Warning is now in effect until tomorrow evening…

The Flood Warning continues for the Maumee River at Fort Wayne.

* From this evening to Tuesday evening.
* At 5:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 17.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage this evening.
* Impact…At 17.0 feet, Flooding occurs in parks and farmland in Allen County. Unprotected lowland and county roads become affected by flood waters.
