…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches. The greatest totals will be along and south of highway 24, east of Interstate 69.

* WHERE…Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN…Until 10 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel is not advised tonight. Significant impacts are expected for the Tuesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow will continue to increase in coverage and intensity, peaking between 5 pm this evening and 1 am Tuesday this evening when snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected. Gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow, mainly in rural areas. Additional accumulations of 8 to 12 inches with locally higher amounts are expected by Tuesday morning. Wind chills overnight into Tuesday morning will range from 10 below to zero.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
