Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 14, 2021) – Lake effect snow showers will continue today but will generally be light in nature with expected additional snow accumulations through this afternoon of an inch or less. Lake effect snow showers are expected to organize again tonight as a stronger system approaches.
This system will bring widespread snow to the area beginning late tonight and continuing through early Tuesday morning. Storm total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches (locally higher amounts possible) are expected along and east of Interstate 69 with accumulations of 3 to 5 inches across portions of south central Lower Michigan extending into west central Indiana. Hazardous travel conditions are expected for both the morning and evening commutes Monday and the morning commute Tuesday.
