Snow this weekend
Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 29, 2021) – Cool today with highs in the 20s and 30s and just a few clouds around mainly north of US-6.
Clouds beginning filling back in on Saturday ahead of our next storm Saturday night through Sunday. Precipitation is expected to start Saturday evening with snow expected especially north of a line from Portland, IN to Monticello, IN. The greatest snowfall accumulations are expected to fall during Saturday night.
There is still some uncertainty with temperature profiles meaning how far north the rain/snow line is able to get into our forecast area is still in question, but the best chance for a wintry mix is south of a line from Portland to Monticello.
Snow becomes lighter, but is expected to linger on through the day Sunday before dissipating Sunday night. Snow and the wintry mix will lead to slick roads, so if travelling plan for extra time to reach your destination.
