On January 26, 2021, at 1603 hours, the Fort Wayne Police were dispatched to a residence for a suicidal subject who had left the scene.

Details/Summary:
Fort Wayne Police were dispatched to a home involving a suicidal subject who had left the scene. Officers made contact with a family member who stated she believed her sister was going to shoot herself. Officers were able to track the subject and found her in Kreager Park. She was alone in her vehicle. Officers believed the subject to be armed with a handgun.
After the subject refused to follow directions of officers on scene Emergency Services and Negotiators were called to begin talking with the subject. After a while on the phone with negotiators the subject surrendered to officers. At this time she will be taken for a medical evaluation.
