FWFD: House fire, Central Drive

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 25, 2021) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 3000 block of Central Drive at 4:00 pm, on January 26, 2021.

The first firefighters on the scene reported a fire on the second floor and that all of the occupants had self-evacuated. Crews entered the house and extinguished the fire. Firefighters took approximately 15 minutes to control the blaze.

A search was performed looking for any possibly trapped victims, none were found. No injuries were reported at the time of the fire. There were three family pets in the home at the time of the fire and all were safe.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, NIPSCO, and Indiana Michigan Power.
