Fort Wayne Fire Department news release concerning a house fire on Paulding Road:
House fire, Paulding Road
(January 14, 2021) – Fort Wayne Fire Department crews arrived in the 2500 block of East Paulding Road to find smoke coming from a hoarder house. It took several crews an extended amount of time to find a location to enter the structure. After removing a large amount of debris, crews were then able to access the structure and extinguish the fire. Due to the number of items stored inside and outside the house, crews will be on scene for several hours overhauling and extinguishing hot spots.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, NIPSCO, Indiana Michigan Power, and Neighborhood Code Enforcement.
