FWPD: Shooting Investigation, 1800 block Fox Point Trail

On October 6, 2020, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail.

Life-Threatening Shooting Investigation

Date: October 6, 2020

Time: 0320 hours

Location: 1800 block of Fox Point Trail, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Victim: Adult male, life-threatening condition

Details/Summary:

On October 6, 2020, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail. Upon arrival officers located an adult male inside of a parked vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). The male was transported to a local hospital where he was said to be in life-threatening condition.

Investigators are currently processing the scene, searching for and collecting evidence. Detectives are canvassing the area searching for any witnesses, video surveillance, etc. to try to piece together what happened. There is no suspect info and it is currently unknown what led to the shooting.
