
On October 5, 2020, at 1640 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 700 block of Madison Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1640 hours
On Scene: 1643 hours
Under Control: 1655 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported black smoke from rear of a medium two-story residence and confirmed a working fire. Smoke detectors did alert occupants. An aggressive attack on the fire restricted it to one room, however, there was smoke damage throughout the home.
The cause is still under investigation.
All occupants self-evacuated from the structure as confirmed by a search of the structure.
