On September 25, 2020, at 1745 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of Hanna and East Leith Streets in reference to a reported shooting.

Details/Summary:
On September 25, 2020 at 5:45 pm Officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of Hanna and Leith in reference to a reported shooting. Officers were advised that there had been reports of multiple shots being fired and that there was possibly 2 or 3 victims.
Upon their arrival Officers located 2 adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and both victims were pronounced deceased by paramedics on scene.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians were paged to the scene and upon their arrival they began to canvass the area and speak with all witnesses and neighboring homes to see if anyone had seen what took place and if there was anyone that had any type of video recording devices that possibly would show anything as well.
Crime Scene Technicians along with members of the Fort Wayne Police Air Support Unit were on scene gathering and documenting all evidence that may be associated with this incident.
Due to the size and location of the incident Hanna between Pontiac and McKee was closed for all traffic until the scene had been cleared by investigators.
Detectives are asking that anyone with any information regarding this incident to please call the Fort Wayne Police Detective Bureau at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP.
The Identities of the victims will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Assisting with this investigation was the Fort Wayne Fire Department, and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
