On September 15, 2020 at 1139 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 2000 block of Carlton Avenue on the report of a male subject that might be armed with a handgun.

Details/Summary:
On 9/15/2020 at approximately 11:39 am officers responded to 2029 Carlton Avenue for the report of a male subject that may be armed with a handgun. Initial reports from a family member were that the male, who was alone, had fired several shots inside the residence. For the safety of the public and everyone involved the Fort Wayne Police Department Emergency Services Team officers and Crisis Response Team officers were called to the scene. Shortly after they arrived the male exited the residence without incident. He was taken to a local health care facility to be evaluated.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
