On Thursday, 08/13/2020, at approximately 10:28 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 300 block of West Rudisill Blvd. reference a shooting. Officers arrived and located the male/adult victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arriving at the hospital his condition was downgraded to life-threatening by a physician.
Preliminary information indicates there was a disturbance inside an upstairs apartment prior to the shooting. Detectives are currently interviewing potential witnesses at police headquarters. They hope to obtain additional information once those interviews are completed.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
