FWPD Update: Homicide Arrest, 3600 block Winter Street

On August 6, 2020, in the early evening hours, an arrest was made in connection to the July 8, 2020, homicide at the Coliseum Inn at 1020 North Coliseum Boulevard.

Suspect Arrested: Jeremiah Stevenson M/B DOB 06-20-1994

  1. Murder, Felony Level 1

Details/Summary:

On August 6, 2020 in the early evening hours, an arrest was made in connection to the July 8, 2020 homicide at 1020 N Coliseum Blvd. Homicide detectives along Gang and Violent Crimes Unit and US Marshals received information that Stevenson was hiding out in a home in the 3600 block of Winter Street. Detectives had developed him as a person of interest soon after the homicide of Jean Emmanuel Duperat.

Officers went to that location and did find Stevenson in the home. He was taken into custody without incident. After being interviewed Stevenson was charged with Murder.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
