Details/Summary:
On Saturday July 11, 2020 at approximately 4:22 AM officers were in the area of Plaza Drive & Pettit Avenue when they heard several gunshots coming from the immediate area. A short time later, officers observed a vehicle that had crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle near this intersection.
Officers observed an adult male get out of the vehicle that had crashed into the parked vehicle as he immediately fell to the ground. The officer observed the adult male to have suffered from apparent gunshot wounds.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arriving at the hospital, it was determined by emergency room physicians that the victim had life threatening injuries.
At this time, investigators are canvassing the neighborhood to see if anyone may have witnessed the incident that could assist investigators with their investigation. There is no suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made.

This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
