The FWPD was seeking a suspect in this homicide investigation who was arrested in Mansfield Ohio on July 7, 2020, by the U.S. Marshall’s Taskforce.
On June 24, 2020, at 1710 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to the the 1900 block of Clarmarnic Drive in reference to a shooting.

Details/Summary:
On Wednesday June 24, 2020 officers were dispatched to the area of the 1900 block of Clarmarnic Drive in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located an adult female laying outside unresponsive suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the female to be deceased.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and observing a dark colored SUV type vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed immediately after hearing the gunshots. At this time, investigators are canvassing the area to speak with neighbors to obtain additional information regarding the incident.
There is no suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made. Investigators are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may provide information to assist them is asked to contact the detective bureau at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP. The Allen County Coroners Office will release the victim’s identity as well as the exact cause and manner of death.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
