On June 17, 2020, at 1844 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 10100 block of Wheatfield Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1844 hours
On Scene: 1849 hours
Under Control: 1921 hours
The first firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the roof of large double wide modular home. An initial attack on the fire was from interior, however, the fire was so intense that the structure began failing and firefighters were forced outside. The fire was extinguished with a large amount of water.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
