Fort Wayne Homicide Division made an arrest in the shooting death of Manuel Mendez over the weekend on Gilmore Dr. Timothy Hall Jr was taken into custody after a pursuit with officers. During the pursuit Hall was involved in two crashes the second making his car inoperable. Hall was taken into custody by officers. He had a two year old child in the vehicle with him at the time of the pursuit and arrest. The child was safe after the incident.
The incident began after Hall allegedly shot Mendez after Mendez confronted Hall about pointing a gun at someone because they didn’t want him drinking and driving with a child in his car. When Mendez confronted Hall, Mendez was shot. Hall was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness, Neglect of a Dependent, and Carrying a Handgun without a Permit.
