The Fort Wayne Police Department is reporting that day 8 of the downtown George Floyd protests were peaceful with about 75 protesters gathered on the Allen County Courthouse Green.

Details/Summary:
Day 8 of downtown protests were once again peaceful. About 75 protesters gathered on the courthouse lawn today and were peacefully protesting. They walked down to the MLK Bridge before leaving shortly after 8:30pm. No arrests were made and no incidents were reported. There were no reported agitators at the protest. Once again the Fort Wayne Police Department would like to thank our community members for peacefully protesting.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
