Details/Summary:
A murder warrant has been issued for Sedrick Williams in connection with the shooting death of Marlon Kimbrough on January 7, 2020 of this year. Kimbrough, a resident of Indianapolis, was found on the railroad tracks just west of Meyer Rd. The coroner reported he died of multiple gunshot wounds. He was the city’s first homicide of 2020.
Williams was a suspect early on in the investigation and was arrested just a short time after the homicide on an unrelated parole violation. He was picked up by US Marshals and has been incarcerated since mid January. This gave Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives time to gather evidence which eventually lead to Williams’s arrest. Williams will be served with the warrant and eventually be brought back to Allen County face the charges.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
