On April 19, 2020, at 2138 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 7200 block of Shady Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 2138 hours
On Scene: 2142 hours
Under Control: 2147 hours
Initial arriving units found fire on the exterior of the house. The fire was contained to the exterior of the house and a wooden fence. The fire was extinguished in approximately five minutes. The fire was caused by hot coals from a BBQ grill dumped out before they cooled completely.
Two occupants were home at the time of the fire and self evacuated with no injuries.
