Fort Wayne Fire Department news release:
FWFD: House Fire, Rosemont Drive
(April 10, 2020) – FWFD crews were dispatched overnight to a residential house fire in the 1800 block of Rosemont Drive in the North Highlands neighborhood. Upon arrival, crews found a single-story home with flames extending from the front windows of the home.
Firefighters entered the home to conduct a search and extinguish the fire. They immediately encountered 3 adult victims. One adult was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries. Two other adults were determined to be deceased. The fire was quickly knocked down and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Other agencies assisting at the scene included FWPD, NIPSCO, TRAA, AEP and NCE. No other injuries were reported.
