On January 26, 2020, at 1258 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 2500 block of Dodge Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1258 hours
On Scene: 1302 hours
Under Control: 1310 hours
Crews arrived and found fire coming from the roof of structure. Firefighters pulled a hand line into structure and found heavy fire in the attic. They were able to pull ceilings down and extinguished the fire in about 8 minutes. Extensive overhaul was needed to extinguish all hot spots. There was heavy damage to the living room area and smoke damage throughout the structure.
An occupant and one pet self-evacuated prior to the firefighters arrival.
