
On January 23, 2020, at 2309 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Fox Avenue after receiving a 9-1-1 call reporting that someone had been shot.

Details/Summary:
On 1/22/2020 Fort Wayne Police Dispatch received a 911 call from a male reporting that his friend had been shot on Fox Avenue. The caller reported he was driving to the hospital with the victim. Officers made contact at the hospital with a 21 year old male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Shortly after receiving this call officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Fox Avenue for a report of someone hearing shots fired 10-15 minutes prior. The victim was deemed to have life threatening injuries by medical personnel.
Preliminary reports indicate the victim may have been inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting. Members of the Fort Wayne Police Homicide and Crime Scene Units are conducting the investigation at this time.
