News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Coroner ID’s Roseview Homicide victim
The Allen County Coroner’s Office was contacted by a local hospital and advised of the death of Diquan Q. Meriwether, a male, black, age 19, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Diquan Q. Meriwether was the victim of a shooting that occurred in the 2800 of Abbott Street, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
The Autopsy has been completed and the next of kin has been notified.
Cause of Death has been determined to be Gunshot Wound of Chest and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Diquan Q. Meriwether is the 2nd Homicide in Allen County for 2020.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
