On October 27, 2019, at 1503 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1500 block of Grant Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1506 hours
Under Control: 1517 hours
An AEP lineman checking a downed power line found smoke coming from the roof of a home. He alerted the three adult occupants to evacuate and called 9-1-1. The FWFD arrived three minutes after dispatch and located a small fire in the rear wall, around and above the electrical meter. The fire was under control in 11 minutes.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature.
