On October 20, 2019, at 1232 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1100 block of Packard Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1234 hours
Under Control: 1301 hours
Firefighters responded within 2 minute and found heavy smoke from the roof of a 2-story residence and declared it a working fire. Crews advanced hose lines to second floor and found the attic and part of the second floor on fire. A quick search of the structure found an unoccupied structure. It took units approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Heavy fire involvement to the attic required extensive overhaul.
The fire is under investigation.
