On July 6, 2019, at 2216 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1000 block of Sylvia Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 2220 hours
Under Control: 2247 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters found a one-story wood frame house with heavy smoke showing. Crews located a fire in the kitchen and made entry. While the crew that had located the fire was working on extinguishing the fire, other crews were searching to see if anyone was inside the structure with no one being located. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported and this fire remains under investigation.
It was later learned that no one was home at the time of the fire.
