
On March 23, 2019, at 1632 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in a workshop/storage building in the 7800 block of Young Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1632 hours
On Scene: 1634 hours
Under Control: 1752 hours
When firefighters arrived, they found the building heavily involved in fire. Crews pulled hose lines to extinguish the fire that was mainly located at the rear of building. While trying to the extinguish fire, the rear of the building collapsed. No firefighters were injured in the collapse but it made the fire more difficult to fight. The fire was brought under control using heavy equipment to pull the building apart and then extinguishing fire as it was exposed.
