On March 10, 2019, at 1338 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 10800 block of Longwood Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1338 hours
On Scene: 1343 hours
Under Control: 1402 hours
The first firefighters arrived on the scene found smoke coming from the roof area of house. Crews forced entry into the home to find a fire located in the laundry room. The fire was extinguished within 19 minutes of arrival.
The owners of home were not home at the time of fire.
The family cat perished in the fire.
Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Moderate
Smoke Damage: Heavy
