
On January 30, 2019, at 0102 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 4400 block of Winter Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 0110 hours
Under Control: 0122 hours
The initial 9-1-1 caller stated an electrical panel was on fire in a home and gave an incorrect address. Firefighters arrival was delayed, but they made the scene 8 minutes after the initial call. Fire units redirected to the correct address and on arrival found a single family home with smoke showing.
One occupant was trying to fight the fire and the other could not evacuate due to being hooked to oxygen. Fire units removed both occupants and two dogs to the safety and warmth of a fire engine. The fire in the rear and attic were extinguished with in 12 minutes of arrival.
