On January 15, 2019, at 2016 hours, Detectives with the FWPD Gang and Violent Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in the 3300 block of McKinnie Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Details/Summary:
On January 15th 2019 at approximately 2016 hours, Detectives with the Gang & Violent Crimes Unit, using EST, executed a search warrant in the 3300 block of McKinnie Ave. This address is a known criminal street gang (Mafia & MOB) home. This search warrant was the result of investigation based on numerous tips, neighbor complaints, traffic stops, surveillance, shots fired at the home, and a recent shooting across the street at a service station.
Upon breaching the door, EST located 13 subjects inside the home, including several children. During the search of the home, Detectives located 3 loaded handguns, one of which was lying out within reach of the children, approximately 500 grams of marijuana, dealing paraphernalia and ammunition. At the end of the search, one arrest was made as of now, Deshannon Shelton was charged with felony possession of marijuana. Additional charges are potentially pending. This investigation is ongoing.
