New Neighborhood Code Compliance Director Hired
(September 19, 2018) – The City of Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division has hired Susan B. Eisenhauer as the new Neighborhood Code Compliance Director. Eisenhauer replaces Cindy Joyner, who is now the Division Director of Community Development.
Eisenhauer joins the City of Fort Wayne with a career history in both legal work and the social service field. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. Eisenhauer lived in Fort Wayne in the mid-90s through 2002, during which time she worked for the Indiana Supreme Court. Since returning, she has worked as an organizational consultant, hearing officer for the Indiana Supreme Court and Executive Director for Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic.
Eisenhauer volunteers for several community organizations and serves on the Board of Directors for The League for the Blind & Disabled.
“Susan will be a great asset to our team,” said Joyner. “She is passionate about helping build strong neighborhoods that provide an excellent quality of life for residents.”
Neighborhood Code Compliance ensures minimum housing and commercial standards are met in order to enhance the health and safety of Fort Wayne’s neighborhoods while improving property values and the quality of life for all citizens.
