New principals appointed for Forest Park, Price
(July 26, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees on Monday, July 25, approved the appointment of new principals for Forest Park and Price elementary schools for the 2016-17 school year.
Steve Jones, Forest Park Elementary, Principal
Steve Jones joined Fort Wayne Community Schools in 2006 as the principal of Northcrest Elementary, and in 2010, he moved to Price Elementary. He started his education career at Hobart Middle School in 1995. He remained in Indiana for six years teaching in Hobart, Middlebury and Goshen, before moving to Fort Collins, Colo., where he taught at McGraw Elementary IB World School for three years before being named principal of Sun River Middle School and Fort Shaw Elementary School in Montana. He was later named principal of Simms High School, also in Montana. At Forest Park, he replaces Diamond Robinson, who moved to a position in East Allen County Schools.Benjamin Hartman, Price Elementary, Principal
Benjamin Hartman, currently assistant principal at Price Elementary, is being promoted to principal, replacing Steve Jones. Hartman joined FWCS in 2014 as assistant principal at Price after teaching in East Allen County Schools for 13 years.
