Turnstone to Host Annual Fundraiser on June 16
Board of Directors’ Gala supports Turnstone’s therapy programs
(May 23, 2016) – Hundreds of area children and adults with disabilities will benefit when Turnstone hosts its 16th Annual Board of Directors’ Gala on Thursday, June 16.
“Through its unique programs, Turnstone empowers children and adults with disabilities in our community,” said Barney Niezer, Chairman of Turnstone’s Board of Directors. “Funds raised at the Gala help to make our therapy services available at a reduced rate for those with financial need.”
With state-of-the-art facilities, Turnstone is the region’s only nonprofit organization offering pediatric and adult physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and aquatic therapy for children and adults with disabilities.
At the Gala, attendees will hear first-person accounts describing how Turnstone’s programs have touched the lives of local youth. “Listening to clients tell their stories is very powerful,” said Niezer. “It allows us to see our mission of ‘empowering people with disabilities’ in action.”
Tickets to the Gala cost $250 per person and include appetizers, dinner, drinks, entertainment, a silent auction, and a live auction. Tickets may be purchased at turnstone.org/gala or by calling 260.483.2100 by June 2.
The 16th Annual Board of Directors’ Gala will be held on Thursday, June 16 from 5:30 – 9:30 PM in the Plassman Athletic Center at Turnstone, 3320 North Clinton Street, Fort Wayne.
