Details:
(April 24, 2016) – On Sunday April 24, 2016 at approximately 11:38 A M officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a residence located in the 3700 block of Warsaw Street in reference to a domestic disturbance involving an individual armed with a weapon. As officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with people who exited the residence who confirmed that an individual was inside the residence armed with a weapon. Officers attempted to make contact with the individual to have him exit the house. After several unsuccessful attemps to have the individual exit the residence, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Departments Crisis Response Team and Emergency Services Team were dispatched to the scene.
Officers with Crisis Responce Team attempted to make communication with the individual inside the residence at which all attempts were unsuccessful. After several hours, officers made entry into the residence and took the individual into custody without incident. The individual was then transported from the scene to speak with investigators.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
