News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:
Meth Lab bust at Economy Inn
(April 15, 2016) – At approximately 6:00 PM Detectives from the Fort Wayne Police Department Meth Suppression Team acting on a drug tip called in by a citizen which led them to the Economy Inn, 3340 W Coliseum room 2144. Once there, they discovered an active meth lab in the room.
The room was occupied by 6 adults who were charged with the following:
David Lachester Koker age 32
- Parole Violation Warrant No Bond
- Manufacturing Methamphetamine Level 5
- Possession of a Syringe Level 6
- Dealing in a Look Alike Substance (Spice) Level 6
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance Level 6
Regina Kay Barker age 43 from Butler IN
- Manufacturing Methamphetamine Level 5
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance Level 6
- Possession of a Syringe Level 6
Savannah Danielle Martin of Huntertown age 18
- Visiting a Common Nuisance
Cedric Larinzo Edwards age 29
- Visiting a Common Nuisance Misdemeanor
Alisha Rochelle Chilton age 27
- Visiting a Common Nuisance Misdemeanor
Alison Marie Governo age 25
- Visiting a Common Nuisance Misdemeanor
In addition the room was condemned by the Allen County Board of Health and Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code because it was contaminated with Meth. The Fort Wayne Fire Department also cited the establishment for violations of the Fire Code.
This is the 28th Meth Lab processed by the Meth Suppression Team this year, at the same time in 2015 the Team had only processed 18 labs showing a net increase of 10 labs over last year. This matter under further investigation by the FWPD Vice and Narcotics Bureau.
