Vera Bradley Annual Outlet Sale Welcomes Thousands of Visitors to Fort Wayne

(April 13, 2016) – From April 13 to 17, more than 60,000 people from all 50 states and eight countries will invade the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne for the 2016 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.

The five-day shopping experience offers Vera Bradley enthusiasts a chance to shop and save 40-75% off on luxury handbags, luggage, stationary and lifestyle accessories. The first three days of the sale are ticketed, and the final two days are free and open to the general public.

In addition to the outlet sale, visitors will enjoy many other activities while in Fort Wayne. DeBrand Fine Chocolates will host extended open tours throughout the week; Peg Perego welcomes back its three-day Spring Sale; and the Fort Wayne TinCaps take on the South Bend Cubs for four games at Parkview Field.

With thousands of visitors staying in hotels, eating at restaurants, and touring local attractions, Fort Wayne’s local economy will receive a generous bump. The five-day outlet sale will bring in $6 million dollars in direct spending (in addition to what is spent at the sale).
