Critical Shooting Investigation

Location: 2200 Randallia Drive, Parkview Hospital

Details:

On Friday, 4/8/2016, at 3:46 a.m., the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 2200 Randallia Drive, Parkview Hospital, reference a shooting victim that arrived at the emergency room. The victim walked into the emergency room and appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). A physician determined the victim was in critical condition and he was immediately transported to another local hospital by paramedics.

Preliminary information indicates the victim was driven to the hospital and dropped off at the emergency room entrance. The driver of the vehicle that transported the victim to the hospital left the hospital prior to the police arriving. The driver later returned to the hospital and is currently being interviewed by detectives. It is unknown where the shooting incident occurred and there is no suspect information to provide at this time. Detectives hope to gather more information regarding this investigation once they are able to interview the victim
