Early in person voting begins today

 

 

News release from the Allen County Election Board:

Early in person voting at Election Board office begins Tuesday, April 5th

Early voting for the 2016 Primary Election will be available to all Allen County registered voters beginning Tuesday, April 5th in the lobby of the Rousseau Centre, 1 East Main Street, Fort Wayne. The Election Board office will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays through Monday April 25th. They will also be open on Saturday, April 23rd from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Renovations are limiting parking opportunities at the Rousseau Centre parking garage, however parking for early voting will be available at marked parking lots on South Clinton Street north of Freimann Square and in the old Citilink terminal on East Superior Street.

Early voting at an additional four satellite locations will begin on Tuesday, April 26th. The Aboite, Dupont, Georgetown and Hessen Cassel library branches will be open the following dates and times for early voting:

  • Tuesday 4/26 and Thursday 4/28 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Wednesday 4/27 and Friday 4/29 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday 4/30 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Beginning on 4/26, the Rousseau Centre lobby will open for voting at 8:00 AM and remain open for the same extended hours as the satellites. The final day to vote early at the Rousseau Centre is Monday, May 2th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

The Election Board office is now processing applications for absentee mailed ballots. The deadline to receive applications for mailed absentee ballots is 11:59 PM on Monday, April 25th.
