House Fire, 4500 Gaywood Drive
(February 12, 2016) – The FWFD arrived at a house fire in the 4500 block of Gaywood Drive on February 12, 2016, at 1:45 a.m., to find heavy smoke and fire conditions. Crews forced entry and began a search of the structure. One occupant was quickly found, removed from the home by fire crews, treated outside and then transported by ambulance. Heavy smoke and fire damage throughout structure.
The cause of the fire in under investigation.
FWFD was assisted by NIPSCO, NCE, AEP, FWPD and St Joe Township Fire Department.
