Weather the Fort Celebrates New Winter Festival in Downtown Fort Wayne
(December 30, 2015) – To help Fort Wayne residents and visitors celebrate the frigid winter season, the inaugural Weather the Fort festival comes to Freimann Square on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
With activities including a heated tent for local bands, interactive art, fire performances, ice sculptors, coffee tasting, and a food and beer tent, Weather the Fort will have something for everyone.
“Weather the Fort is an exciting new festival that gives our community the opportunity to come downtown and enjoy Fort Wayne’s vibrant arts scene, food, drinks and music in the heart of winter,” said festival organizer Ted Pappert.
The inaugural festival is free to attend, and runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Weather the Fort was created with the help and sponsorship from the Downtown Improvement District’s Events Contest and by a committee of young professionals in Fort Wayne inspired to bring the community together for fun outdoor entertainment during the winter season.
