Kevin Howell announces candidacy for United States Congress Indiana District 3

(January 30, 2016) – Kevin Howell will announce his candidacy for United States Congress IN-3 at 12pm today Saturday, January 30th at The Four President’s Corners Monument, located in Monroeville, where four townships each named after Presidents meet. Howell will make his candidacy official by signing his name at the Indiana Secretary of State Office on Monday, February 1st at 12:00 noon, in Indianapolis, IN.

Howell, a former Staff Assistant to Congressman Marlin Stutzman (2013-2015), former Allen County Councilman -District 1 (2010-2014), United States MARINE CORPS Veteran (1983-1993), former Staff Assistant to Ft. Wayne Mayor Paul Helmke (1988-1989), and a graduate of Howard University- Washington DC (BA. US. History 1980), will become the first Republican African-American Veteran ever to run for US Congress from NE Indiana. Kevin has dedicated years to local causes such as the Allen County Council, co-founding and volunteering with The Black College Club, impacting the community as an advocate for youth education and advancement, and maintaining a continual role in local and city politics. In addition, Howell has consistently supported numerous community organizations and championed on behalf of other political candidates. With hopes, prayers, and the support of NE Indiana Hoosiers, Howell plans to be the first African-American Republican ever elected to the United States Congress from Indiana, on our 200th Anniversary of Statehood in The Union.
