Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: 01/11/2016 at 7:07 PM
Location of Incident: 3300 block of Alexander Street
Victim: Male Adult
On Monday January 11, 2016 at approximately 7:07 PM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Alexander Street in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics provided medical treatment to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. At this time, no arrests have been made.
Witnesses told investigators that they observed two males running southbound after the gunshots were heard. Fort Wayne Police Department K-9 officers tracked southbound but were unable to locate any suspects. Investigators spoke with several possible witnesses in an attempt to collect information regarding the incident. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department.This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
