42nd Annual Fort Wayne March for Life Planned for January 16

(January 5, 2016) – Organizers of the Fort Wayne March for Life share that the 42nd annual march will be Saturday, Jan. 16. Sponsored annually by Allen County Right to Life, the March for Life is a peaceful protest of the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion across the country through all nine months of pregnancy.

The March will begin at noon on Jan. 16 with a rally at the University of St. Francis Performing Arts Center, at 431 W. Berry St., Fort Wayne. The rally’s keynote speaker is Dr. Christina Francis, a board-certified OB/GYN currently working in Fort Wayne. Francis is a board member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) and a speaker with Life Training Institute. She will offer her medical expertise, knowledge of bioethics and pro-life reasoning developed both here in the United States and around the globe.

Following the rally, attendees will march through downtown, ending at the E. Ross Adair Federal Building.

“On January 16, we will make a strong stand for life in downtown Fort Wayne,” said Cathie Humbarger, Executive Director of Allen County Right to Life. “We expect more than 1,000 pro-life advocates to show their public opposition to the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. Every innocent, human life, both born and unborn, deserves protecting. We will continue marching until abortion ends and no more women hurt from the pain of abortion.”
