Upcoming USF Concerts

(November 23, 2015) — The University of Saint Francis presents a series of free concerts during the week of November 30 in the USF North Campus Auditorium, 2702 Spring Street:

Fall Jazz Ensemble concert:
On Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m. USF Jazz combos will play the music of Charles Mingus, Theolonious Monk and Ornette Coleman. They will be followed by a big band playing selections from Tower of Power, the Average White Band and Earth, Wind, and Fire. Also featured will be performances by members of the Electronic Music Ensemble.

University Singers Christmas Concert
The University Singers present “So Hallow’d and So Gracious is the Time, a Christmas celebration” on Thursday, December 3 at 7 p.m. Taking its name from a line by Marcellus in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” this celebration of the Christmas and winter seasons will include familiar, joyous tunes, as well as meditations on the natural world and our relationship to it.

These concerts are free and open to the public.

Founded in 1890 as a comprehensive university in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, USF offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs through the School of Health Sciences, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and School of Creative Arts.
