Mad Ants Spread Joy to Area Organizations through Toy Donations

(December 1, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, will be spreading much joy this holiday season, thanks to their partnership with the Indiana Pacers, the team will be donating numerous toys throughout the community.

During the month of December, in coordination with the D-League Care’s Season of Giving, the Mad Ant players, Madame Ant dancers, coaching staff, the Mad Ant mascot, and staff will be delivering toys to various organizations in the Fort Wayne and surrounding areas up until Christmas. Toys vary for both boys and girls of all ages and range from dolls and tiaras to action figures and puzzle games. These toys were the generous donation of JAKKS Pacific Toys and its CEO Stephen Berman, an associate of Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Mad Ants owner, Herb Simon.

Drop-offs kick off this Wednesday, December 2nd with SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) and continue through the month with Vincent Village (12/7), The Burn Council (12/8), Fort Wayne Police Department (12/8), Erin’s House (12/9), Eden Green (12/15), Lutheran Children’s Hospital (12/16) and Turnstone Center (12/21).

The Mad Ants travel to Westchester for a weekday matinée match-up with the Knicks this Wednesday, December 2nd at 11:00 a.m. The team comes home to host the Canton Charge on Friday December 4th with tipoff set at 7:30 p.m. Fans can purchase Mad Ants tickets, which start at just $6, at the Memorial Coliseum Box Office, by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
