USF senior defender chosen to CoSIDA All-District Team

(October 29, 2015) – University of Saint Francis senior Emily Richardson has been named to the 2015 Women’s Soccer CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division District 2 Team.

Richardson (Fishers, IN / Fishers H.S.) is a defensive center back who was named Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week once this season. She is a team captain for USF serving in this capacity for the second consecutive season. Richardson is a double major in Biology and Environmental Science with a 3.97 grade-point-average. She scored the game-tying goal at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and USF won in overtime. She has two goals this season and has been a four-year starter for the Lady Cougars playing in 74 games on defense playing nearly every minute.

First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
