Fort Wayne City Council candidate Michelle Chambers only At-Large Democrat to receive campaign endorsements from BizPac and the Journal Gazette
(October 22, 2015) – Michelle Chambers, At-Large candidate for Fort Wayne city council, picks up two important, highly sought after endorsements.
The Greater Fort Wayne Business Political Action Committee (BizPAC) and the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette both tout her experience and her intention of striving towards more inclusiveness as reasons to elect her to council.
Pointing to lengthy discussions and comparing qualifications and experience, BizPAC decided to endorse Chambers’ candidacy. BizPAC is an independent organization comprised of a bipartisan board that seeks to endorse candidates that reflect business community interests. The organization is convinced Chamber’s would be a champion for pro-business, pro-economic development initiatives.
The Journal Gazette says Chambers brings a fresh face, with and eye to the future to council. The paper points to her experience in city government in Los Angeles and Carson, California as factors in their decision. They like her postulation that the city could use technology more to its advantage.
Michelle Chambers, the founder and president of Signing Closers LLC “Professional Notary Signing Services,” and YVH (Your Virgin Hair). Chambers has dedicated years to local causes as a City of Fort Wayne Metro Commissioner, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, impacting the community as Board President of the Renaissance Pointe YMCA, unifying business owners of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and exhibiting servitude as a member of Links Inc. Achieving her MPA and BA while living in California, she has served as the Redevelopment Project Manager for the city of Carson, California.
Drawing upon her professional accomplishments, she has overseen and managed lucrative fiscal budgets, economic growth, community development, health services, and real estate over the past 20 years.
