Death Investigation, 5100 block of Plaza Drive

Details:
Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that has left one male in serious condition and a second dead at the scene. At approximately 11:38 a.m. police were dispatched to an address in the 5200 block of Plaza Drive on the report of an individual shot. Once there, officers found the male down in the 5200 block suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He told officers that there was a second victim inside a home located in the 5100 block of Plaza Drive. Officers entered the home and did find an unresponsive male also the apparent victim of a shooting. He was declared dead at the scene by medics. The victim found outside the home was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
Investigators have found shell casing inside the home in the 5100 block of Plaza Drive which is a clear indication that the shooting took place there. Residents reported hearing gunfire and seeing two vehicles leaving the scene shortly thereafter. Descriptions of those vehicles have yet to be confirmed. No motive or suspect information has been determined at this time. Anyone with information concerning this death investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867)
